Ticket Information and Conditions of Purchase
The following terms and conditions apply to Flybussen tickets purchased on nor-way.no and in the NOR-WAY app. When purchasing a ticket, you enter into an agreement with NOR-WAY, and the following terms and conditions form part of that agreement.
Tickets
The following terms and conditions apply to tickets purchased on nor-way.no and in the NOR-WAY app. When purchasing a ticket, you enter into an agreement with NOR-WAY, and these terms and conditions form part of that agreement.
The cheapest tickets are available online. You will be asked to show your ticket when boarding the bus, along with any relevant identification and/or travel passes. Please keep your ticket readily available throughout your journey.
If you create an account on nor-way.no, all your booked tickets will be available under My Page. You can also retrieve your ticket to access your travel information and QR code. An order confirmation will also be sent to the email address you provided when purchasing your ticket. If you do not receive your ticket by email, please contact customer service.
Your ticket is only valid for travel between the departure and arrival stops specified on the ticket, on the stated date and at the scheduled departure time. This also applies to return journeys. If you wish to depart from a different stop, you must change your ticket to the desired departure stop.
As a passenger, you are responsible for keeping your ticket secure. If someone else uses your ticket, it will be registered as used and will no longer be valid for you.
Check Your Booking Details
As a passenger, you are responsible for checking the following:
- That you have selected the correct route, including your departure and arrival stops.
- That you have selected the correct departure time and date.
- That you have selected the correct ticket type and number of passengers. If you have purchased a discounted ticket (student, senior or military conscript), you must be able to present valid proof of eligibility.
- That you have entered the correct email address when purchasing your ticket.
- That you have your ticket available when boarding and throughout your journey.
- That you can present a valid travel pass if a regional public transport card has been added to your booking.
Your ticket is only valid for travel between the specified departure and arrival stops, on the date and at the departure time stated on the ticket. This also applies to return journeys.
Prices and Booking
Ticket prices may vary depending on how far in advance you book, your travel date and any available promotions. We recommend purchasing your ticket well in advance to secure the best possible price.
Tickets purchased on board are normally more expensive than tickets purchased online. Without an advance booking, we cannot guarantee that a seat will be available on the bus.
If website or app downtime, or other technical issues, prevent you from booking your ticket in advance, you must purchase your ticket on board at the standard fare. Tickets purchased on board are normally more expensive than tickets purchased online.
Prices displayed when searching on nor-way.no or in the NOR-WAY app are only valid for advance bookings.
Please note that ticket booking may still be available in the NOR-WAY app if nor-way.no is experiencing technical difficulties.
Changes and Refunds
The ticket type you choose determines your options for making changes or cancelling your booking. Please note that Open Tickets are only available on selected Flybussen routes.
Standard tickets can be changed up to one hour before departure for a fee of NOK 39. These tickets cannot be cancelled.
Flexible tickets can be changed or cancelled free of charge up to 15 minutes before departure. If you cancel your ticket, you will receive a full refund of the purchase price.
For both Standard and Flexible tickets, changes can be made to the entire journey, the outbound journey only or the return journey only. The return journey can also be changed after the outbound journey has taken place.
If your new journey costs more than your original booking, you must pay the fare difference. This applies to both Standard and Flexible tickets.
Connecting Services
If your journey involves more than one leg or requires you to change buses, it is important to familiarise yourself with NOR-WAY Bussekspress' connection rules.
When your journey involves changing buses or transferring from a bus to a train, boat or flight, sufficient transfer time must be allowed.
The following minimum transfer times apply when connecting from a NOR-WAY Bussekspress service to another service:
- 60 minutes when transferring from a NOR-WAY bus to a train, boat, flight* or a bus operated by another company.
- 30 minutes when transferring from one NOR-WAY bus to another NOR-WAY bus.
If you choose a shorter transfer time, you cannot claim reimbursement for alternative transport or other expenses incurred as a result of a missed connection.
* When travelling by bus to an airport, you must also allow sufficient time for airline check-in.

How do I get the Flybussen to stop?
Passengers are responsible for arriving at the bus stop well before the scheduled departure time, standing clearly visible at the designated stop and signalling to the driver with a clear hand gesture as the bus approaches. The bus only stops when signalled.
Our departure schedules are published periodically.
If you cannot find a departure for a date further in the future, this means the timetable has not yet been published.
Departures to and from Evenes are planned and published on an ongoing basis, based on information we receive from Avinor about scheduled flights.
Tickets can be booked once the departures have been published on www.flybussen.no.
Please note: The departure time shown in our journey planner is the earliest time the bus will depart. Deviations from the published timetable may occur. Delays in baggage delivery may also affect the scheduled departure time.
Ticket Types – Different Levels of Flexibility
We offer two ticket types on most of our departures: Standard and Flexible.
The ticket type you choose depends on what matters most to you – getting the lowest possible price or having greater flexibility.
On Flybussen services in Bergen and Stavanger, we also offer an Open Ticket, which provides greater flexibility within the same day.
Standard
- Standard tickets cannot be cancelled after purchase.
- Standard tickets can be changed for a fee up to one hour before departure. Any fare difference for a more expensive journey must also be paid.
Standard tickets are the cheapest option if you know when you want to travel.
Flexible
- Flexible tickets can be changed or cancelled up to 15 minutes before departure. Any fare difference for a more expensive journey must be paid.
Flexible tickets cost slightly more than Standard tickets but allow you to change or cancel your booking.
A Flexible ticket is a good choice if you are unsure which departure you will take or whether you will travel at all.
